Job Hunting

I was approved with m Adjustment Status so now I finally am starting with my job hunt. I really don't know what kind of job I want but since my previous experience before I arrived here was an office support staff so I will be applying for those kind of jobs and also my Pineapple told me to not be afraid to try customer service also. Coz right now there are a lot of customer service openings everywhere here in San Diego especially where we will be moving to. I have to say that I am terrified of being interviewed so I am getting a bit stressed about that part of my job hunt. Hopefully, it will be easy to find one. If I am not lucky enough to land any of those two jobs I want then I will not be picky and just try anything temporarily until we move.

Sports-filled Easter Weekend

Our weekends started Friday at when we went to watch the Opening Night of the Padres. It was our first opening home game. Although we lot that night it was still a good game. I got to see what they do during opening night. When they sang the National Anthem they opened up a huge flag across the baseball field which was held by soldiers in uniform. I didn't get to see the ceremonial pitch coz when they started to introduce the one who will do it he threw the ball already before he was introduced. LOL! (The guy is 90 years old...)

Saturday morning we had a nice breakfast at home which my mother-in-law cooked & then headed up to L.A. after. We went to watch the LA Kings play hockey. My Pineapple bought our tickets on E-bay. He won the bidding for those tickets. When the tickets was delivered I was surprised & puzzled to see that tickets said "Luxury Suites" and the price said $VIP. Hmmmm???? So we went to Staples Center & went through the VIP entrance coz that's what was written on the ticket...for us to take the VIP entrance. We passed through a deserted corridor & saw doors with scanners & their corresponding room number. We finally found ours. My Pineapple told me to go in first. (As you can tell, we were apprehensive to go in coz we were not sure if that was the right seats for our tickets.) So we went in & the first thing we noticed were the food on the table & the counter tops. I was a really sweet, sweet room. There were popcorn, chips, salsa, different dips, hotdogs, some chicken dish which I can't remember what it was called, pork barbecue sandwich, some Turkish bread of sort & two fridge filled with water, sodas, beer & champagne. But most of all, the view of the rink was spectacular. Whenever I would watch a hockey game on TV, I never could follow where the puck is going. But that day I totally see it. We were not so close to the rink but you could see the entire floor from our suite.

After hockey, we checked in our hotel & took a short nap. Then around 4 went & drove to our next sports destination...wrestling. We went to LA because of the PWG's (Pro Wrestling Guerrillas) All-Star Wrestling Tournament. It was a two nights event which featured different independent pro-wrestlers & some wrestlers you see on TV shows like TNA, Wrestling Society X...and one who just got signed on WWE. So he made his last PWG appearance. His name is Classic Colt Cabana. I got teary-eyed when he made his speech & everyone chanting "Thank You Colt!". The first night started at 8 pm and it they all gave very good fights. The second night was supposed to start at 5 pm. But they didn't let people in until 10 minutes before 5. And when t started at around 5:45 the top rope broke. So another delay. While the crew was fixing the rope, the PWG staff gave some entertainment. Then even without a top rope two guys had a No Disqualification match. Both nights we were sitting in front row. Those two guys gave a very good show. They keep hitting the steel fence they put up in front. They even went & fought in the audience area & slammed into a table. It was crazy. Because of the delay, we were supposed to be driving back to SD around 8 pm but instead we ended up going home around 10 pm. We made it home around 1:30 a.m. My poor Pineapple had to get up for work at 6 a.m.

We took some pictures of our weekend in LA...

P.S. We went and saw the Padres again Monday night (last night).
